ANGEL IN DISGUISE

IAS Kinjal Singh, who is presently posted as the District Magistrate (Collector) of Faizabad district in Uttar Pradesh. On monday evening, somewhere around 7 to 8 pm, while she was passing through the chowk vegetable market, she spotted a roadside vegetable vendor on the footpath, it was Moona, a 75 year old widow who could barely walk properly. Miss Kinjal asked the price for 1 kg bitter gourd, Moona said ₹50, she paid her ₹1550, asked her where she lived and left. Moona happily reached her tin-shed house and told her granddaughter Reetu about the incident. Reetu is pursuing B.A. at Paramhans Degree college, Ayodhya. At around 11 pm when Moona & Reetu were about to sleep, a convoy of vehicles arrived at their place. It was the DM, Kinjal Singh along with other government officials and a team of doctors. When they entered the house their heart melt. They were living in a very poor condition. Miss Kinjal immediately ordered the District Supply Officer (who was also present there) to bring 5 kgs Pulse, 20 kgs flour, 50 kgs wheat, 40 kgs rice. She said, "i'll stay here until you get all these things."The officers left with immediate effect, all shops were closed by then but he had to obey the Collector's order. He somehow managed to find a shop, got everything loaded and reached Moona's place, the clock had struck 12, the DM was still there. She didn't just stop there, she ordered the Sub-divisional Magistrate Deepa Agrawal to get a table fan, an LPG gas cylinder & stove, 2 Sarees and slippers for Moona in the morning. The ADM and SDM arranged everything as per orders, the very next morning.DM Kinjal also promised Moona that cooking utensils will be sent to her, a handpump will be installed soon and a house too will be constructed for Moona as soon as possible. Moona blessed her numerous times.Today, while we find corrupt IAS officers in abundance, DM Kinjal Singh sets an example, I feel proud in sharing this, that people from our community are still abiding by the Kshatra Dharm.
