Garima Singh, a blend of beauty with brains, hails from Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The distt. is know for it's legendary Rajputs like former Prime Minister Shri ChandraShekhar Singh, Shri SurajDeo Singh and others.
Garima completed her schooling from CMS, Lucknow which is the world's largest & one of India's most prestigious schools. ( Which i've also been a part of, Garima & my elder sister were classmates). After her schooling she moved to Noida and got admitted to another premiere Institute, St. Stephen's College. She pursued BA & MA (History) at Stephen's.
She cracked UPSC in her very first attempt in 2012 and bagged 109 All India Rank. She got the cadre of her choice, UP.At the young age of 25, she got posted as ASP, Lucknow and was praised by all for her dedication and hard work.
She played keyrole in solving the Mohanlalganj case and she was also the one of the key persons involved in settingup the famous women power helpline 1090.Later, she got promoted and was posted as SP, Jhansi.
She is known for her positive attitude towards service and is a very popular figure among the poor and downtrodden. Jhansi witnessed well-maintainedlaw and order, all thanks to Garima Singh.
This year, she cracked UPSC'15 exam again with All India Rank 55 and qualified for the Indian Administrative Services (IAS).She is a diligent officer with a vision and has made our community proud, i wish her all the good luck.
